The Sea of Forgetfulness

"As far as the East is from the West, so far has He removed our transgressions from us." Psalm 103:12
The concept of East and West is bittersweet for the Liechtys. It signifies great distance. As we move our family from a place we have known long and known well, the span of distance becomes a bitter pill as it seperates us from so many we love so dearly. However, when we consider the greater significance of such distance as written of in Psalm 103, we can only be joyfully humbled in knowing that by the grace of God in Christ Jesus our sins have been thrown into the Sea of Forgetfulness by God Himself. And so that distance between us, the Lord, and our sins cannot be bridged. Hallelujah!!
Fortunately the distance between you (in the East) and us (in the West) is not so great. There are planes, trains, and automobiles. The distance can be covered, and if not physically, certainly virtually. For a girl whose always been wary of the post-modern age, I am thankin' Jesus for modern technology!
If you are reading this....it means you love us enough to take time out of your busy day to catch up with what is going on in our lives. Thank you for doing that!
Please be patient with Greg and me, as we are new to this blogging thing. We'll do our best to keep it interesting and relevant.
FYI, the title pic for this blog is not the Sea of Forgetfulness. It's the Pacific Ocean at sunset in July (Greg took the pic on our last house-hunting trip). It's fun to roll up your jeans and run through the icy water and silky soft sand. Once we get to Oregon, we hope some of ya'll will come play with us!
